Multi-Use

Today, the WatchMinder is being used by children and adults with Attention Deficit Disorder, as well as persons with chronic illnesses, such as diabetes, urinary incontinence, and asthma. Senior citizens are using the watch to manage medication intake and hard of hearing persons benefit from the vibration system in the watch. Because the WatchMinder is a vibrating, silent alarm and reminder system, it can be worn by these people and others like them, with minimal disruption to the user or those around him.

My name is Dr. Laurence Becker and I am a licensed Child

Psychologist and the inventor of the WatchMinder3 and the WatchMinder MINI. As an assistive tool, I would often recommend that parents program a wristwatch for their child to remind him or her to stay on task at school and at home. Throughout my 45 years of practicing in Southern California, I began to realize that, although this technique was effective, it had its limitations. First, a wristwatch is loud, disruptive, and not ideal for the classroom environment.

Second, most wristwatches could only be programmed for a limited number of reminders per day. Twenty five years ago, I set out to create a better tool for children, parents, and adults...and the results have been phenomenal. Over 100,000 WatchMinders have been sold worldwide! We are now on our third edition of the watch, the WatchMinder3. Recently, we added the WatchMinder MINI. Both are widely used in schools and they are allowed in classrooms as SAFE and COMPLIANT. They are the perfect alternative to expensive smart watches.

  • | wanted to send you a note to let you know how much my son and | have appreciated your watch. We have had the watchminder3 for a while now and must let you know that this watch truly amazing. My son is on the Autism spectrum and had other diagnosis’ like ADHD as well. This watch allows him and | to communicate without yelling at each other. | set the watch for the time | want him to do things and | don't have to remind him to do those things and he has used the routine of the daily schedule built into the watch with the alarms to keep him on task during school and to assist in his daily routine. My son is 11 years old and has assisted him with medication compliance as well because we can set the alarm to tell him to take his medications without me talking to him or having to remind him, he does it on his own. Your watch as not only improved communication, settled arguments and avoided arguments but has allowed for an overall improvement in his and our family's quality of life.
